SRM 1000 (Bulletin 550.1096)

As a result of the development of the new SRM 1000, we are expanding our series of switched-mode rectifiers in the lower power range. The outstanding technical characteristics of the SRM1000 offers diverse possibilities of use. Thanks to its low residual ripple, the SRM 1000 is an ideal charging unit for starter batteries, sealed and closed lead batteries and NiCd batteries. The unit, which incorporates the most up-to-date switched-mode power supply technology, is also suitable for use as a power supply unit for DC loads.

SSPG DC Power Converter (Bulletin 438)

The L-3 Communications Power Systems Group Solid-State Pulse Generator (SSPG) is an air-cooled, DC power-conversion system which converts a nominal 450 VAC, 380 Hz to 420 Hz input to a control-regulated DC voltage from 0 VDC to +/- 250 VDC. The SSPG accomplishes DC-voltage regulation by controlling the phase angle gating of the silicon-controlled rectifiers and filtering the output with inductors and capacitors.

DCE Degaussing Control Equipment (Bulletin 418)

The Degaussing Control Equipment provides the precise current required to generate a composite magnetic field which counteracts the effects of the ship on the earth's magnetic field. Passing direct current through each degaussing coil produces these generated fields. The polarity and magnitude of current in its coil determine the polarity and intensity of each field.

DC to DC

PS274-A (Bulletin 817)

The PS274-A solid-state converter is a lightweight, low-cost solution for fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft instrument lighting systems in demanding military and commercial environments. The PS274-A provides 5 volts of electrical DC power, which includes all the required protection and filtering to comply with MIL-STD-704. This allows the PS274-A to be compatible with today's most sensitive intrumentation and wiring in applications such as cockpit and cargo bay lighting systems.

TRU

PS-469 (Bulletin 804)

L-3 Communications Power Systems Group PS469 Transformer/Rectifier Unit (TRU) provides 40 amps of 28 VDC power from a MIL-STD-704A, three-phase, 400 Hz generator. This unit accepts a wide frequency input of 320 Hz to 480 Hz. The TRU design concept is very simple and uses extremely ruggedized components, achieving both high reliability and excellent overload capacity (500% current).

PS-383 (Bulletin 809)

L-3 Communications Power Systems Group PS383 Transformer/Rectifier Unit (TRU) converts aircraft primary AC power to 28 VDC power 50 amps, from a three-phase, 115 volt, 400 Hz generator per MIL-STD-704. Designed for minimum space and weight, and maximum reliability (ambient cooled - no fan), it offers excellent versatility for use in new designs or retrofits. The TRU design is based on a very simple, time proven concept, using extremely rugged components which produce both high reliability and extreme overload capabilities of 1200% (600 amps).

PS-462 (Bulletin 806)

L-3 Communications Power Systems Group PS462 Transformer/Rectifier Unit (TRU) converts aircraft primary AC power to 28 VDC power, from a three-phase, 115 volt power per MIL-STD-704. It has a full load rating of 200amps. The TRU design is based on a very simple, time proven concept, using extremely rugged components which produce both high reliability and extreme overload capabilities of 1200% (2400 amps).

Model 2031 (Bulletin 6408)

The L-3 Communications EuroAtlas Model 2031 Transformer Rectifier Unit (TRU) converts aircraft primary AC power to 28 VDC power from a three-phase, 115 volt, 400 Hz generator. This lightweight 40 amp TRU has been developed for commercial airborne application. Its proven reliability recorded and confirmed by several Airlines exceeds a MTBF of 100.000 hours.

Dimmers

PS431X-1 (Bulletin 811)

Designed to meet extremely demanding aircraft environmental conditions, this family of light dimmers provides variable, low-voltage power for cockpit instrumentation lighting. Lighting power is regulated and filtered for compatibility with sensitive instruments and wiring. A wide variety of output voltages and remote control modes are available.

PS505 (Bulletin 818)

The PS505 was designed to provide adjustable 0 to 115 VAC, single phase, 400 Hz electrical power for electroluminesent lighting applications. This Power Systems Group unit incorporates the latest advances in solid-state power conversion to provide a low-cost, lightweight, efficient solution to fixed- and rotary-winged aircraft lighting needs. The output voltage is adjustable by means of a remote 0 to 28 VDC signal on the control input to the light dimmer. The corresponding output of the PS505 is 0 to 115 VAC variable.
