Series STS-I (Bulletin 955) (STS-I Brochure)

The STS-I is one in a family of L-3 Power Paragon Commercial High Speed Digital Static Transfer Switches (Series STS-I). This Automatic Static Transfer Switch (STS) automatically transfers critical loads from a primary power source to an alternate power source in the event of interruption or abnormal conditions. Designed using silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) power-switching elements, the STS-I transfers the critical load between power sources in less than 1/4 cycle upon loss of source – more than 10 times faster than traditional electromechanical switches – appearing seamless to even the most critical loads. Accomplishing rapid transfer without cross-connecting power sources, the STS-I ensures that no damage can occur to either power source. This also allows for transfer between two dissimilar power sources – a feature far superior to mechanical closed-transition automatic transfer switches.

Series STS-I (Bulletin 915)

The STS-I is one in a family of L-3 Power Paragon Commercial High Speed Digital Static Transfer Switches (Series STS-I). This Automatic Static Transfer Switch (STS) automatically transfers critical loads from a primary power source to an alternate power source in the event of interruption or abnormal conditions. Designed using silicon-controlled rectifier (SRC) power-switching elements, the STS-I transfers the critical load between power sources in less than 1/4 cycle upon loss of source — more than 16 times faster than traditional electromechanical switches — appearing seamless to even the most sophisticated loads. Accomplishing rapid transfer without cross-connecting power sources, the STS-I ensures that no damage can occur to either power source. This also allows for transfer between dissimilar sources — a feature far superior to mechanical open- or closed-transition automatic transfer switches.

STS-SP-208Y-150/150 (Bulletin 922)

The STS-SP-208Y-150/150 is one in a family of L-3 Power Paragon Commercial High Speed Digital Transfer Switches. This 150 amp Automatic Static Transfer Switch (STS) automatically transfers critical loads from primary power source to an alternate power source in the event of interruption or abnormal conditions.

Series STS-PDU-I (Bulletin 925) (STS-PDU Brochure)

Critical space limitations in today's high-speed, high-volume Internet and corporate data centers have resulted in the need for integration of power delivery systems to the critical loads. L-3 Communications Power Paragon Commercial fault tolerant static transfer switch with an integrated power distribution unit (STU-PDU) provides uninterrupted power to vital loads while also transforming and distributing power at voltages required by the critical computers — all from a space-saving, small footprint unit.

Plug-In Fault Tolerant Rack Mount STS (Bulletin 930)

Introducing the new L-3 Communications/Power Switching & Conversion Systems Series STS-PI-FT static transfer switches. These plug-in, rack mount static transfer switches (STS) utilize the latest state-of-the-art, fault tolerant logic topology which provides an even higher redundancy of critical components than other STS designs in the industry.

These new static transfer switches were designed to meet the ultra-high-availability requirements of mission critical applications, such as, air traffic control, space programs and critical commercial platforms.

Series STS-PC (Bulletin 924) (STS-PC Brochure)

This Automatic Static Transfer Switch Power Panel (STS-PC) automatically transfers critical loads from a primary power source to an alternate power source in the event of interruption or abnormal conditions. Designed using silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) power-switching elements, the STS-PC transfers the critical load between power sources in less than 1/4 cycle upon loss of source — more than 10 times faster than traditional electromechanical switches — appearing seamless to even the most sophisticated loads.

Series STS-PP (Bulletin 6416)

This Static Transfer Switch Power Panel (STS-PP) automatically transfers critical loads from a primary power source to an alternate power source in the event of interruption or abnormal conditions. Designed using silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) power-switching elements, the STS-PP transfers the critical load between power sources in less than 1/4 cycle upon loss of source — more than 10 times shorter than traditional electromechanical switches — appearing seamless to even the most sophisticated loads.

L-3 Power Systems Group SABT (SABT Brochure)

L-3 Power Systems Group's latest line of Static Automatic Bus Transfer (SABT) switches uses silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) power-switching elements to automatically transfer critical loads from a primary power source in the event of interruption or abnormal conditions. And it does this in less than four milliseconds (4/1000th of a second), infinitely faster than electromechanical switches, so that it appears seamless to even the most sophisticated systems. These SABT switches are the only solid-state, programmable units to have been QPL-certified, and are compatible with MIL-STD-1399 and STANAG 1008 standards. They also are MIL-S-901 grade A shock and MIL-STD-167-I vibration qualified.

Static ABT (Bulletin 443)

L-3 Power Systems Group's Static ABT (SABT) has been developed to protect mission-critical power loads on naval ships, submarines and other defense applications. Derived from the successful STS series, the SABT is a digital solid-state unit that is programmable and can interface with all data bus protocols. The SABT STS has been configured to meet the environmental and performance requirements for military applications and is QPL certified to the requirements of DOD-S-112773B, Amendment 3.

STS-SP-208Y (Bulletin 935)

The Static Transfer Switch that meets FAA Standards.
Now, commercial and military air traffic control centers around the world can have ultrahigh-speed digital static transfer switches that meet the most demanding power-protection standards. Already Installed in FAA Centers throughout the U.S., the Series STS family of switches from L-3 Power Switching & Conversion Systems includes models appropriate for both in-route and terminal applications. Because the power electronics can be separated as a module from the bypass and isolation systems, maintenance is fast and easy. In addition, the power unit can be conveniently installed in a standard power ATS enclosure.
