History
Power Magnetics technical expertise is the result of its long history in power technology. Originally Crittenden Transformers, Power Magnetics became well known as a part of Teledyne in 1960, and in 1994 became a business unit of Power Paragon, Inc., a world leader in power-system technology. In 1997, Power Paragon, Inc., joined Power & Control Systems, a full-line provider of ruggedized, reliable and cost-effective electrical power systems and services for military and commercial applications. Power & Control Systems is the power arm of L-3 Communications, a leading supplier of secure communications systems and products, microwave components, avionics and ocean systems, telemetry, instrumentation, space and wireless products.
As part of Power & Control Systems, L-3 Power Magnetics is able to utilize the complete resources of Power & Control Systems and its subsidiaries:

In 1998, Power & Control Systems was acquired by L-3 Communications, a leading merchant supplier to aerospace, military and commercial primes. Based in New York, L-3 Communications serves the Department of Defense, select U.S. government intelligence agencies, aerospace and defense prime contractors and commercial telecommunication and cellular customers.
